STILL ROLLING!
Once upon a time in the world of clapperboards and crew calls, I embarked on a whimsical journey through the enchanting maze of storytelling. With a delightful ensemble of roles that stretch like a well-scripted plot twist, I’ve worn the hats of Assistant Producer, Production Manager, and Videographer, all while keeping the popcorn popping and the creativity flowing.
In 2019, I had the opportunity to work on a silent film called Hack3rman, for which I was the producer as well as the actor who played the titular character. The project helped me understand the logistics that would go into a production at a fundamental level. I understood why it is a necessity to have a strong and bold character in order to make the production move effectively and efficiently.
Tip Of My Tongue (2019), Over My Shoulder (2020) and Campfire (2021) allowed me to combine leadership qualities acquired from my time as a producer and director; the visual creativity of cinematographer; the passion of a storyteller aided me in writing and directing my latest as well as final project at SAE.
However, these projects taught me the most important lesson. Have fun making movies. If you love and enjoy what you make, then those watching it will too. And I only had fun because I was making the film with my friends. And I was making friends with this movie.
So at the end of the day, I still aspire to be a visual storyteller, not for some pretentious love for the art. Simply because it allows me to learn and have fun at the same time.
